Marissa Guerrero, FNP

Family Nurse Practitioner

“I want to make sure my patients never feel like they’re being rushed … healthy communication is key.”

Marissa joined Family First Medical Group in early 2020, and it didn’t take her long to make an immediate impact on her patients and colleagues.

She revels in the opportunity to educate her patients on how to live a healthier, happier life. The South Side native is relentless in her pursuit to empower everyone to strive for an optimal state of wellness … a quality she exemplifies in her own life. And, as you’ll quickly find out, she’s also incredibly friendly.

Marissa brings 12 years of professional experience from a variety of roles at Advocate Christ Medical Center, plus one year at Adult Primary Care Center, and one year at Best Practices Inpatient Care.

Marissa’s educational background has taken her through Queen of Peace High School, Moraine Valley Community College, Purdue University, and Olivet Nazarene University.

When she isn’t collaborating with her patients to improve their health and happiness, she’s probably traveling with her hunky fiance or playing with their English bulldog, Lady.
