Preventive Care Q & A
We all know that the best way to treat health issues is to detect and address them in their earliest stages. At Family First Medical Group we make preventive health care easy with a range of screening and diagnostic tools.
What is Preventive Healthcare?
In order to prevent serious conditions and diseases from affecting your health, preventive care is used to encourage healthy habits. The types of preventive care we practice depend very much on a patient’s medical history, which is why we look for specific risk factors when you meet one on one with our medical providers. Unhealthy habits and untreated medical issues lead to millions of deaths every year. Preventive health care not only saves lives but also reduces the overall cost of healthcare by catching problems early. At Indycare, we will screen you for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and cancer. We will also identify unhealthy habits like smoking, a poor diet, or a sedentary lifestyle. We will work with you one on one to change those habits, so you lead a healthier life.
Are preventive health services covered by my insurance?
